Like most independent schools, WMS relies on the skills, interests and talents of its parent community to create a truly exceptional learning environment for our children. Volunteer opportunities abound at WMS — from the at-home task of doing simple laundering for your child’s classroom to weeding in the gardens to working with a committee on the annual Auction. Our school is particularly fortunate to have so many parents interested in sharing their career specialty–from the culinary arts to aquaculture and sustainability.
WMS parents typically commit to a task involving their child’s classroom as well as a task that benefits the school as a whole. Not only does this enhance a child’s perception of the importance of collaboration, but it helps parents become more involved in their child’s education and builds a stronger home/school partnership.
