Like most independent schools, the Williamsburg Montessori School’s annual giving program, the Fund for Williamsburg Montessori School, is instrumental in supporting school programs and services by covering operational costs ranging from classroom supplies to building maintenance–the hard costs that tuition alone does not cover. Not only does this help to keep tuition costs as low as possible, but it also gives families, alumni and friends the opportunity to make a significant difference in the quality of education offered by WMS.
The Fund for WMS is our top fundraising priority. Our annual fund pledge drive is held in the Fall, with our goal being 100% participation from all Montessori families. Gifts and donations allow the school to allocate funds where they are needed most and help WMS continue its unique educational mission. The Fund for WMS is a vital resource in supporting:
- the purchase of updated classroom materials
- expenses associated with enrichment activities (art, music, language study and physical education)
- field trips for all grade levels
- before and after school programs
- building, equipment and grounds maintenance
- professional development
