The Williamsburg Montessori School at-a-glance:

  • Founded in 1982
  • A non-profit organization licensed by the State of Virginia
  • Affiliated with the American Montessori Society
  • Governed by a volunteer Board of Directors
  • Toddler program (18 mos. – 3 years)
  • Children’s House program (3 years – 6 years )
  • Lower Elementary program (grades 1 – 3) established in 1996 and located on the main campus at Longhill Road
  • Upper Elementary program (grades 4 – 6) established in 1998 and located on Scotland Street
  • Middle School program (grades 7 – 8)  established in 2010 and located at the Watermen’s Museum on the York River, Yorktown
  • Enrollment: 140
  • Faculty: 17 full-time faculty; and two to four part-time teachers for enrichment activities.

Hours of Operation:

  • Before School Care – 7:30 a.m. (available to Toddler through Upper Elementary)
  • Toddler Full-Day Program – 7:30 a.m.  – 5:30 p.m.
  • Children’s House Half-Day Program (ages 3-4) – 8:30 a.m.  to 11:45 a.m.
  • Extended Day Program (ages 3 – 6) – 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Children’s House Full-Day Program – 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. (includes Before Care and Afterschool Care)
  • Lower Elementary Program (8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.)
  • Upper Elementary Program (8:30 a.m. – 3:15 p.m.)
  • Middle School Program (8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.)
  • Afterschool Program (available to Toddler  through Upper Elementary) – 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
